I think I can definitively say that this album contains the best 19-minute track that I've ever heard. You know, compared to all those other 19-minute tracks out there.
Favorite track: Angel.
On this album Boris combines some of the heaviest riffs ever with the softest pop melodies and it sounds amazing. It's so heavy and sweet and dreamy at the same time.
Favorite track: Heavy Rain.
My chill out band... Earth just never misses. That being said, there is still something awe-inspiring when Mark Lanegan begins singing on "There Is A Serpent Coming." Kind of like: "Everyone else knows how great this is, right?" bcb723
as a follow up to Sunbather, this hits all the right notes. I'd say it's more melodic, as opposed to the wall of sound style of Sunbather, so in a way it's even more accessible than that album. in any case, New Bermuda is a fantastic black metal experience. palehorse666
There is no safe place; the album ends and you are left quiet and afraid. If Sunn were a metal they would be Uranium; dense, hazardous and respected. So put on your biohazard gear and grab your balls because you're about to be pulled into a vacuous chasm of apocalyptic proportions, your soul will leave you and become a Spectre; Mani will fall from the sky and catch Sol and you might begin to unlock the Ether of the universe and understand all things beyond yourself. Time stops with Kannon.\m/\m/ Doom King
