bill goodwin one of my top 5 Boris albums Favorite track: Spoon.
brantly thumbnail
brantly Boris goes kosmiche-inflected interstellar pop-trip-hop noise-rock? Categorizing Boris LP's (and Ulver for that matter) makes my head spin, and it's a blissed-out vertiginous whirr.

Eric Benac Boris goes pop? Sorta! But they pull it off because they're Boris. Favorite track: Party Boy.

Tuukka Junnikkala One of my favorite Boris releases although there are so many good ones. A lot of it might be due to Wata's singing on the record. I almost NEVER describe a woman's voice as being sexy but Wata's voice is exactly that: low, seductive and sexy.

If you've never heard Boris, immediately go listen to their Feedbacker – it will change your life. If you've already heard it but not this one, then go ahead and enjoy the refreshing dissimilarity. Favorite track: Attention Please.

Mies If you are a Boris purist and your favourite albums are 'Feedbacker' and 'Pink', you are likely to find 'Attention Please' too much on the light side. On the other hand, if you enjoyed 'Rainbow', my guess is you will like it, although I for one miss Michio Kurihara's peerless guitar work. The album benefits from Wata's vocals, her voice bringing an extra dimension reminiscent at times of Angel'in Heavy Syrup and Shizuka, even though there is no Maki Miura here to take the songs into hyperdrive.
